Biggio going for 3K hits

The Houston Astros are currently in discussions with Craig Biggio's agent Barry Axelrod. Biggio, who earned a 4 million dollar salary for the 2006 season, will need to meet an easy goal of 70 hits in the 2007 season to hit a career total of 3,000. Axelrod hopes to reach and agreement with the organization before the Free Agent Filing Period which begins just after the World Series.
